Programme notes
“The Fish Pond Song” is a large scale video installation by Jeroen Kooijmans. “The Healing” was composed as score for the last section of the installation. Tommy Wieringa wrote a set of poems for the work as well, the last of which I set to music.

Dit is wat we zochten
oeverloos uitgewaaierd
onder het strooilicht van de hemel.
Passief zwevend, tevreden als plankton
de tegenstellingen voorbij
eindelijk alleen.
Een minerale vrede
is over ons gekomen,
de mathematische harmonie
met zo nu en dan een samenkomst.
Extatisch klonteren de cellen.
Er mag gedanst worden.
